SkyWay - working with young people to develop Event Management skills

The SkyWay Events Management Programme is in it’s fourth year and SkyWay are offering young people aged between 16 to 25 years of age living in Hackney, the opportunity to help organise our annual football tournament Teenage Kicks.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Complete Event management Training

• Gain accredited qualifications in First Aid, Child protection and ASDAN

• Gain significant work experience in event management

• Develop Personal and Social skills

• Gain vouchers on completion of Event Management milestones

You will need to commit to the following:

• 6 hours work per week (flexible; additional to below)

• 5 days of training in June 2010

• Be available Friday afternoon – evenings from 13th – 27th August 2010

The position is unpaid but reasonable travel and lunch expenses will be covered.

All Event Managers will be required to have a CRB enhanced disclosure check prior to the start of Teenage Kicks.
